As a final step, upgrade to the latest version. After installation, navigating to the "Drivers and Printers" panel should show you that the Exclamation Sign is no longer displayed on your computer without even having to reboot.ĥ: The original Boot Camp driver for the MacBook's Multi-Touch Trackpad is quite buggy. When it asks you which features you want to install, you only the "NVIDIA SMBus Driver" and "NVIDIA SMU Driver" need to be selected. Run this file:ĭ:\Boot Camp\Drivers\NVidia\NVidiaChipset64.exe Do a manual installation by double-clicing the Boot Camp 圆4 installer:ĭ:\Boot Camp\Drivers\Apple\BootCamp64.msiĤ:Reboot and most things will be working, except for the SM Bus and Coprocessor driver problems discussed in this thread. It comes with the Boot Camp 2.1 drivers, but normal installation fails with Windows 7 圆4.

I found some instructions here which is what I think I ended up following:ġ: Start Boot Camp assistant from Leopard, insert the Windows 7 圆4 DVD and reboot.Ģ: Follow the standard procedure for installing Vista, taking care to leave the Location and Region unchanged as "US" and "English (United States)".ģ: When you boot into Windows 7 for the 1st time, insert the 1st of 2 DVDs that came with your MacBook, the one labeled Mac OS X Installation disk.

So I got most of the drivers installed but was still having problems with smb bus and coprocessor in device manager

However I discovered the 64 bit drivers are actually on the Macbook disk, Apple's installer just refuses to install them! Right I thought I'll just use the disk with the Macpro, that did not work either. I tried to install the boot camp drivers but was greeted by the "圆4 is not supported on this mac" message. The macbook install went fine but the drivers were more of a problem. Also installed the latest Nvidia drivers for the 8800gt. Everything is fine, although Realtek seems to have its ftp servers on 56k modems so it takes half an hour to get those. Then the sound is too quiet so just download the Windows 7 drivers from the Realtek website and install those. The Macpro was no problem, install the OS, install boot camp drivers. I have Windows 7 圆4 working on my 2008 Macpro and 2009 Macbook Nvidia White.

I'm currently being impatient with the driver situation and am scouring the internet for the 2.0 Vista 圆4 boot camp drivers to give them an attempt and see if they fair any better. It keeps coming back with an incorrect pin was entered, even with devices that have no pins (ie, a mouse). I was able to force install the Bluetooth using the DPInst.exe program and it appears to operate, but I can't connect to any device even though I can see them in the BlueTooth "Add Device" screen. My laptop seems to run at a constant 1700MHz according to CPUz (it's 2.4GHz). In addition, the Apple software (control panel, keyboard control software, mouse control software) I can't get to install or operate. I can see the "Apple Keyboard" in Device Manager, but the keys don't work by themselves or with any combination of FN. This installed the drivers, but none of the functions work.

#SCANMASTER ELM327 UPDATE#
No problem, I downloaded the 2.1 update and extracted each driver and ran the DPInst.exe installer in each folder. I don't have my Leopard disk handy as it is in a storage locker at the moment. Unfortunately, everything is recognized and installed with the generic Windows drivers so things like Keyboard support (brightness buttons), trackpad support (ie, touch scroll, etc.) do NOT work. Everything is recognized and installed properly except for BlueTooth and iSight. On the Vista 圆4 DVD it would hang immediately after the "Press any key to boot from CD/DVD." What I did use, however, was the option key to force boot to Windows 7 圆4 DVD. In addition, my White MacBook (2007? -> MacBook4,1) is NOT supposed to support 圆4 versions so I didn't use the assistant.

I have not followed Apple's recommended procedure, as I had a previous partition setup with Vista Ultimate. I got my technet subscription of Windows 7 Ultimate 圆4 and have promptly installed it on my MacBook.
